Era Recording Artists and Songwriter Levi Lobo are excited to announce the release of his brand new album, Nowadays Produced by Kenny Riley. Nowadays is a masterfully written story telling journey from the depths of homelessness to the heights of movies stardom, spun into a classic, 1960’s songwriter. Lobo has emerged as a narrative genius taking inspiration from Bob Dylan, Tom petty and Tom Waits. The album is raw and vulnerable as he discusses his journey from the streets, losing his father and returning home as a “Prodigal Son”. ‘Nowadays’ channels Lobo’s honest emotions into a 7-track peak into his mind leaving us breathless and excited at the emerging songwriters bright future.

To celebrate the release of the Album, Lobo has release an exclusive documentary set to ‘Almost Home’ which has been playing across the world on the radio.
His first collaboration with Era Recording Artists and Kenny Riley, Lobo found a safe and profound space to record where he could allow the stories to emerge naturally. From the upbeat songs of ‘Take A Breath’ to the slow melodic stories of Zulu Man, the album is full of humanities narratives of hope, family, lose and a return to home.
The Songs of Nowadays took shape as Lobo left Fox Studios and began to craft the narratives of his star debut films ‘Tramp’ and 'Help Wanted’. The Album is a sneak peak into the themes and elements both of these films carry and will be features in both films.
Lobo States “After my father passed and I ended up sleeping under a tree in Beverly Hills, I hit a turning point and I began to do research into the physiological effects of that loss. When you look at the numbers, 85% of incarcerated individuals grew up with out a father and 75% of homeless did as well. Those numbers are huge, I’m lucky to have had such a fantastic mother who was able to help guide me and bring in mentors who helped me find my way back home.”I hope this album and the upcoming films can bring some level of insight to those issues.
