Sage Businessworks vs. QuickBooks

Brandon, MB—December 27, 2022: QuickBooks and Sage are two of the most widely used accounting solutions. Both software have a range of products that are designed for businesses of different sizes. While QuickBooks is best known for its bookkeeping and accounting capabilities, Sage products lean more towards project management. However, there is a significant overlap between the capabilities of Sage BusinessWorks and QuickBooks Enterprise.

Many organizations move company data from Sage BusinessWorks to QuickBooks Enterprise for reasons ranging from convenience to support.

As businesses grow and they generate more data, add employees, and increase their inventories, they outgrow the capabilities of the solution. Here is when they realize that it would be time to switch to QuickBooks Enterprise.

Many users find that Sage BusinessWorks slows down with time. Transactions take longer to execute, and reports are not generated as quickly as they used to earlier.  There is often a requirement to enter data manually in multiple systems with Sage BusinessWorks leading to errors due to duplication that is often difficult to correct. Organizations could require additional access control mechanisms that cannot be easily implemented in Sage BusinessWorks. Sage BusinessWorks may not integrate well with many of the other important software that businesses need to scale operations.

QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise is an accounting software for small businesses which provides users with real-time access to customer, employee, and vendor information. The software includes tools for managing inventory, shipping, sales orders, pricing, tasks, invoicing, reporting, and more.
