By leveraging this platform, Kenton aims to provide an unbiased account of the circumstances surrounding his case and raise awareness about contractor rights. Through social media, Kenton hopes to further his cause, stating, "I'm pleased that I could stand up against the injustice that was done to me, and above all, I'm thankful for my determination to reveal the truth."

While Kenton's case received significant press coverage on Nashville's NewsChannel 5 WTVF and WSMV Channel 4, he claims that his story was not accurately reported, resulting in a biased judgment. Kenton's criminal case was ultimately dismissed by the State of Tennessee, after which he proceeded to sue the State and Assistant District Attorney Chadwick Jackson for alleged constitutional violations he experienced during his case.

Despite attempts to dismiss the lawsuit, it has survived. The case is currently in the discovery process. In response, Jackson filed five additional felony charges against James Kenton, prompting the attention of advocates.
