Italian Entrepreneur, Tommaso Ponti, owner and founder of Ponti Art, announces the launch of his own NFTs collection.
Tommaso founded Ponti Art in 2014, when he was 19 years old. His family has been in the art sector since his great granfather, who was President of the Biennale di Venezia from 1946 to 1954. The gallery buys and sells artworks by the most important artists of 20th century, such as Lucio Fontana, Alberto Burri, Mario Schifano and Giorgio de Chirico.
Besides dealing art, he has been really active in cryptocurrencies investment since 2017.
Tommaso Ponti says: “2021 has been the year of an important revolution in the art: NFTs are spreading in such a great way. Young people prefer buying a digital artwork which circulates through the blockchain, instead of a physical asset. This event is completely changing the art sector.”
“People prefer NFTs because of they can be easily bought or sold, just touching the screen of our smartphone or using a PC. They don’t need to carry or ship they artwork, it all comes through the blockchain, with low fees, making NFTs very liquid assets. There are some NFT collection which raised their price of 3000% in just one month.”
His own NFT collection has been conceived following all the guidelines which only an expert art dealer knows. He strongly believes that NFT will not kill the classic physical art, buti t will be in 10 years resized a lot. NFTs and “old” art will coexist, with a prevalence for really young people to the first one.
