Pop-Country Recording Artist J.Antonette Releases Her Second Nashville single, “Mean Well.”

NASHVILLE, TENN. (August 5th, 2021) -- Recorded and produced by Daniel Agee of Big Yellow Dog, “Mean Well” is an emotional mid-tempo pop-country song with a drive that you can’t get enough of. It was written by singer-songwriter J.Antonette & Noah West.

The clever lyrics were inspired by J’s real experiences. "Some people like to pretend they "MEAN WELL" when the truth is they just know how to be mean very, well.

I remember sitting with Noah during our writing session and feeling such a heavyweight on memories of how terribly I was treated by someone I always tried to see the good in.

The damage done from hurt people who hurt people leaves you with major scars. Sometimes we take on those horrible habits on ourselves and then pass that along.

This song was a realization. This song is for anyone who knows someone who is just a professional at being mean.”

This multidimensional rooted rebel received her start as a background singer for Melissa Etheridge and has since backed up Grammy Award-winner Michael Bolton, The Goo Goo Dolls among others. As an independent artist in her own right, J.Antonette has opened for celebrity country acts such as Jordan Davis and Tucker Beathard and later this year the ELI YOUNG BAND.

She continues to achieve success as a multi-genre songwriter by placing music in TV shows as well as writing for other artists.

She’s been featured on radio stations such as Nash FM, iHeart, BIG FROG 104, and KISS- FM. Her 2019 single, “Something I Said” was a finalist in the prestigious John Lennon Songwriting Competition in the country genre.

“Mean Well” is available now on all streaming and downloading platforms.
