Exclusive Interview With Begetz; Rapper, Actor, Songwriter, And Ceo Of Hustlepreneur Steadily Building a Reputation In The Music Industry

In this exclusive interview, the extremely versatile and talented artist talks about his music journey so far, his style, his collaboration with artist like Tiffany Haddish and the inspiration behind his songs, upcoming projects, his zeal to exceed expectations, and more.

Interviewer: Good day and welcome. Please, tell us. Who is Begetz?

Begetz: Thanks for having me. Well, I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, currently residing in LA. I am a rapper, songwriter, actor, writer, producer, CEO of Hustlepreneur. Sounds like a lot right? (Laughs). Well, what can I say? I’m pretty versatile, and by God’s grace, quite talented, if you may.

Interviewer: You are particularly known for your credits in blockbuster movies such as Save the Last Dance and Soul Plane. What is the inspiration behind doing music?

Begetz: What can I say? When I first met Tupac he changed my perspective on entertainment and inspiring me to become more successful. I started off as an actor and slowly transitioned to a rapper.  I also do a lot of ghost writing for artist. I received a double platinum plaque for writing the Title song, ‘True Colors’ for the movie, ‘Save the Last Dance.’ I think these experiences and achievements made we go like, “Okay, I could actually do music”.

Interviewer: That’s good. You have a song with Tiffany Haddish, we believe?

Begetz: Yes, I do. It’s her first ever single. It’s titled ‘Come & Get Ya Baby Daddy’, produced by Ant Boogie under Sony Orchard and Hustlepreneur. It’s a song that represents a major landmark in hip hop and comedy as we try to combine humor and cynicism to poke fun at ‘baby daddies’ who are up to no good.

Interviewer: What has your music journey been like so far?

Begetz: Well, I’ve collaborated and worked with artists such as Jay-Z, David Banner, Dr. Dre, David Caruso, Tiffany Haddish, Trina, and many others. I’ve produced music on multimillion dollar films from MGM, New Line Entertainment, CBS, Sony and more. I also put out an album with the rapper ‘AZ’ called ‘Ghetto Phass’.

Interviewer: Do you have any standout moment in your music journey so far?

Begetz: Not really. I’ve had so many moments that standout for me. For instance, working with Brett Dismuke, I was able to score movies such as, ‘Back to the Goode Life’, ‘Frat Brothers’  ‘He’s Mine Not Yours’. I also scored ‘Soul Plane’ called ‘Tilt Ya Fitted’ alongside with Snoop Dogg. There’s quite a lot of good memories so far for me.

Interviewer: How can you describe your music style or feel?

Begetz: Hmm. The first thing people should do when they hear my song is to laugh and have fun with it. Yeah, my music is always all about feeling good at all times. I also want to be able to inspire my listeners through my music.

Interviewer: Any upcoming projects?

Begetz: A lot actually. I’m particularly working with Tiffany Haddish on music and songs for her upcoming movies. ‘Come Get Ya Baby Daddy’ already out and working on a new single hopefully to come out late October or beginning of November. New Single called, ‘Run Me My Money’
