Prophet Mboro Went To Heaven and Took Photos With A Smart Phone. Now He Is Selling Them.

Self-appointed prophet Paseka ‘Mboro’ Motsoeneng, leader of the Church of Incredible Happenings, is selling photos that he took in heaven for 5,000 rand (~ $300).

1 April 2016 - Katlehong, South Africa -- With the absurd actions of false prophets and fake pastors rocking South Africa in recent months, pastor Paseka ‘Mboro’ Motsoeneng, of the Incredible Happenings Church, was not reluctant to join the act. The self-stylized prophet decided to charge followers money so they can view photos he took when he went to heaven, causing the resurrection of online mockery that gets repeated every time this pastor tries to pull a fast one.

From curing people of bizarre ailments to pretending to extract a fish from the womb of a pregnant woman, ‘Prophet’ Mboro, never failed to amaze with his stunts. However, this time he has topped himself. On March the 30th, a church spokesperson was quoted by a news website saying that "the prophet did go to heaven", and that "he took pictures using his smartphone”. What is more interesting is that viewing these photos is not free. Those curious to see how the heaven looks like were asked to make a donation of 5,000 rand. Looks like a glimpse at the afterlife is not cheap.

Just as any other action performed by false prophets and fake pastors who dupe their followers, reactions to this claim ranged from social media ridicule to demands of legal intervention. "What is the government doing about Pastor Mboro?" and "Can u please Investigate Pastor Mboro's claim that he went to heaven and took selfies” is but a small sample of Tweets made by angry South Africans; a region with increasing exploitation inflicted by manipulative clergymen on the gullible.

Being famous for a luxurious lifestyle that made him the star of a BBC documentary, this is not the first time the billionaire preacher attracts such negative vibes. This incident caused the resurrection of several past blunders caused by Mboro, most prominently, the 2015 scrutiny conducted by the public commission. Back then, he was questioned and investigated regarding the commercialization of religion. Denying wrongdoing and defiance was Mboro’s position back then.
