The family relies on help from the public as Zimbabwe's health system is failing to cater for the needs of children.

Tanatswa is 7 years old and has celebral palsy. She struggles to balance .Violet Makunike and team ; Carrage , Silas Paradza and Makazvitaishe are seeking long term help for Tanatswa and family. The team has successfully coordinated help to a unique case regarding a Simbarashe Dande who is currently in South Africa for treatment of a fibrous dysplasia tumor using this platform.

Tanatswa needs physiotherapy, wheelchair ,medical care, clothes , special school , transport money and school resources such as uniforms, books and related stationery.

The family lives in Mkoba 5 Gweru , Zimbabwe in a crowded house.

The mother is 40 year old Dzidzayi Mazivachipi and she is her daughter's carer . Her husband Ephison Zimbwa is a 52 year old who works away from home to fend for the family by doing piece jobs where he can earn up to 150 RTGS which is equivalent to about us$60 a month. This money is supposed to pay for the accomodation , bills, medication, transport, clothes, food and upkeep for the 4 in the family.

Tanatswa has a 12 year old brother called Tanaka who is also struggling with school fees and basic needs. However the father does not live with the family but works in a rural area called Musvosvi as a piece job garden boy so it is the mother who usually struggles day and night providing care for their physically challenged daughter.

The mother said in a separate video 2 that both herself and her husband are HIV positive and both cannot afford to buy their own medication. She gave consent for well wishers to know their health needs.

The mother is depressed and fearful of what will happen to her daughter if the mother dies. The mother says her own legs are very painful. She reacted badly to TB medication and she struggles to walk for even 50 metres. She is always with her daughter as she has no one to leave the daughter with . Moreso the daughter has no wheel chair and she has to crawl day in day out on the floor .Due to the unending crawling her legs are in constant pain and bruised. She cannot play with other children outside as she has no wheelchair but she has to crawl on dusty hard ground which is not good for her health. The mother has to carry Tanatswa on her back if they are to go out . This is very tough for the mother who experiences breathlessness due to her poor health.

The family cannot afford to look after their other 12 year old child ,a son Tanaka who is in grade 7. Tanaka lives with a well wisher in Murambinda, Machingura village.
