The annual gathering of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) – “The 2021 World Summit for a Free Iran” is scheduled for July 10-12, 2021. Tens of thousands of Iranians, democracy advocates around the world, high-ranking parliamentarians, former senior officials and other dignitaries from the United States, Europe, Australia, the Middle East and Africa will join this gathering, which will be the largest of its kind. Iranian women around the world also play an indispensable role at all levels in this event.
Iranian regime’s survival crisis, the Iranian people’s desire for freedom, democracy, a secular and democratic republic will be some of the toppics that will be discussed at this event. Besides of this, the right policy towards the clerical regime in Iran and the ten-point plan of Maryam Rajavi, NCRI president-elect and leader of MEK Iran, will be also discussed at this event.
End of the Iranian clerical regime’s impunity
The annual gathering of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) will also encourage policies and civil actions that hold the Iranian clerical regime to account. Particular attention will be paid to the next president of the regime, Ebrahim Raissi.

Protests and demands of the Iranian people
In 2018, 2019 and 2020 massive popular uprisings were held, which rocked the clerical regime.
Millions of Iranians took to the streets in hundreds of cities across the country to demand democratic change. Desperate to prevent another uprising that could overthrow his regime, the mullahs’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei needed to quickly close ranks and cement power. He sees absolute repression as the only way to prevent another major uprising, while the economic situation is deteriorating day by day.
From the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), the Iranian viable democratic alternative, indicate that the 2021 is a special year for Iran. The regime is facing several existential crises that continue to intensify. The economy is in great difficulty, social discontent has never been so strong. Tehran is seriously isolated, its internal struggles are worsening with the purge of so-called “moderate” factions. The Iranian opposition which calls for the overthrow of the regime is gaining ground.
