Santiago Ribeiro's Art in Denver, Colorado and at the Harmony Gallery University of Southern Indiana

 

The works of artist Santiago Ribeiro entitled "Butterflies" and "Surreal Mass Production", they were selected to be exhibited at Detox Exhibition in Harmony Gallery from the University of Southern Indiana and at the world's largest math meeting in Denver in the Mathematical Art Exhibition at the Colorado Convention Center Hall D. respectively.

Santiago, the mentor, and promoter of the largest exhibition of surrealism in the 21st century in the world, the International Surrealism Now, already has numerous presences around the planet as well as Berlin, Moscow, New York, Dallas, Los Angeles, Mississippi, Warsaw, St. Petersburg, Nantes, Paris, London, Beijing, Florence, Madrid, Granada, Barcelona, Lisbon, Belgrade, Monte Negro, Romania, Japan, Taiwan, Brazil, Minsk, New Delhi and Caltagirone in Sicily and many cities in Portugal to which joins Denver in Colorado and New Harmony in Indiana.

 

 

About University of Southern Indiana New Harmony Gallery

New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art, an outreach program of the University of Southern Indiana opens the art show "Detox Exhibition". Detox is an exhibition focusing on environmental art, poetry, and short stories. It is based around the aspects of conservation of natural resources, climate change, recycling, and carbon footprints.

 

The exhibition will be compiled and published into a book that will be made available through Kindle and Amazon. The opening reception for the show is on Saturday, December 7 from 4-6 p.m. The show will run from December 7, 2019 to January 25, 2020.

 

The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

About the Mathematical Art Exhibition

The largest mathematics meeting in the world is coming to Denver! At the Colorado Convention Center Hall D.

 

The Mathematical Art Exhibit is organized by Robert Fathauer, Tessellations Company, and Nathan Selikoff, Digital Awakening Studios and supported by the Special Interest Group of the MAA for Mathematics and the Arts, and the Bridges Organization. A popular feature at the Joint Mathematics Meetings, this exhibition provides a break in your day. On display will be works in various media by artists who are inspired by mathematics and by mathematicians who use visual art to express their love of mathematics. Topology, fractals, polyhedra, and tiling are some of the ideas at play here. Do not miss this unique opportunity for a different perspective on mathematics. The exhibition will be located inside the Joint Mathematics Exhibits and open during exhibit hours.

 

A print catalog for the exhibition will be available at the meeting.
