First time mum/female entrepreneur has invented a ground-breaking baby bib designed to combat common problems parents face with teething and weaning babies.

Shantelle Nicholson’s BibEasy bib is designed to absorb dribble throughout the day, protecting baby’s skin from wetness and minimise the development of the familiar teething rash on the chin, neck and chest area.  The unique design features a fully integrated flap which prevents dribble and food from falling inside baby’s neck when feeding or eating to avoid having to change tops because of stains and mess.

The budding entrepreneur, first had the idea four years ago when her daughter was born.

The accounting executive said: “Being a first time Mum, I discovered the need for this product when my daughter started teething and was constantly dribbling and wetting herlovely clothes.  She had a sore red rash on her chin and neck and I was always changing her tops several times a day or using muslins to wipe her neck.”

“My BibEasy bibremoves the need to change bibs so often and change clothes after eating as conventional bibs often move around while they eat and food sometimes manages to get inside their clothes. The garment absorbs moisture for most ofthe duration of the day which can then be machine­-washed.

I also identified there is a need for this garment for disabled people especially those with cerebral palsy as the side effect to this disease is drooling.

“In London alone £30,000 a year is spent on emollients such, Sudocrem, E45 and many others.  The BibEasy bibreduces the need for medicated creams thus saving the NHS millions of pounds/money.

Shantelle added: “The absorbent flap comprises of two layers of well-­researched fabrics that work together to help keep the neck and chest area dry. The adjustable popper fastening gives a snug yet comfortable fit to prevent dribble going down the front as well as the back of clothing.”
