Businesses and short-term rental entrepreneurs in Shenandoah County of Virginia, now have an alternative to static photos for their properties. Shenandoah Valley 360 has developed a new process that allows online visitors to take an interactive tour of a company’s retail storefront or an entrepreneur’s short-term rental.
The virtual tours make use of detailed resolution 360-degree photos captured by high-end imaging cameras. The immersive photos are then connected with interactive navigation and combined with audio and video to complete the experience.
Shenandoah Valley 360 (SV360) explains that the high-resolution imagery incorporated into the virtual tours requires powerful web hosting servers to deliver a smooth experience to visitors. SV360 owner, Beecher Bowers utilized the services of Shenandoah Websites to tie the online components together.
“It’s worked out well, and Shenandoah Websites has the experience needed to get all the moving parts working together”, Bowers said.
In addition to ground-level virtual tours, Shenandoah Valley 360’s primary imaging capture technician is an FAA licensed drone pilot, allowing them to be Shenandoah County’s first aerial virtual tour provider. Aerial virtual tour scenery is captured at up to 70-megapixel resolution for detailed imagery that’s sometimes needed for construction sites, and other large-scale environments like resorts and amusement parks.
