From October 10 to 11, the Second Confucian Educational Culture Forum and Qufu Educational Philosophy Forum was held at Qufu Normal University. Researchers from Southwest University, Northeast Normal University, Shandong University, Nankai University, Shanxi Normal University, Hunan Normal University, Zhejiang Normal University, Hangzhou Normal University, and other universities gathered in the hometown of Confucius for in-depth discussions.

The participating experts and scholars focused on topics such as "Confucian Ontology and Reflections on the AI Education Paradigm," "Confucian Educational Culture in Contemporary Chinese Education," and "Confucian Educational Civilization and the Construction of an Autonomous Knowledge System for Chinese Pedagogy," delivering a series of substantive keynote reports and sharing diverse ideas and perspectives. The forum also held discussions on compiling the Handbook of Confucianism and Education. Leonard J. Waks, former professor at the College of Education at Temple University in the United States and overseas distinguished professor at the College of Education of Qufu Normal University, along with Professor Gao Wei, Dean of the College of Education of Qufu Normal University, and Professor Zhang Hua of the College of Education of Qufu Normal University, provided a systematic interpretation of the conceptual plan for compiling the handbook. Professor Waks pointed out that Western understanding of Chinese culture still contained biases, and he hoped that through the planning of a Confucian education research project, Confucian educational wisdom could be spread to the world.

This forum focused on the historical context and contemporary value of Confucian education, closely addressed the issues of educational transformation in the intelligent era, and connected traditional educational wisdom with modern educational practice. It established a high-level and diversified academic exchange platform and injected intellectual momentum into the construction of an autonomous knowledge system for Chinese pedagogy.
