Jiangsu Nanjing: Fortune Rides in with an Auspicious Brush of Spring

On February 6, 2026, the “Spring in Brushstrokes, Fortune on Horseback” calligraphy event, jointly held by the Publicity Department of the CPC Jianye District Committee, the Hexi Central Sci-Tech Innovation Zone, and the Jianye New Era Civilization Practice Center in Nanjing, Jiangsu, was launched at Jinling Tiandi. This event celebrated the new year and brought festive joy to the community through Chinese traditional calligraphy.

As part of an art outreach project titled “Blooming Jasmine,” the event created an inspiring cultural vibe with the art of ink.

Renowned calligraphers from across Jiangsu Province gathered to write auspicious messages for employees and residents in the zone, bringing festive cheer and warm blessings to all.

As their brushes danced across the paper, a series of jubilant spring couplets and various styles of the “Fu” (literally fortune or luck) character came to life.

The regular script with structured grace, the running script with a flowing ease, and the cursive script with untamed energy each showed its distinct artistic charm. People gathered to admire the artworks and eagerly claimed their own pieces of new year blessings.
