CLIFTON, N.J. (August 16, 2021)—Tafari Anderson announced today his plans to represent the best interests of the Garden State’s 34th legislative district, asking voters to select him as the Republican choice in the 2021 New Jersey General Assembly election on November 2.
“Success in Trenton involves trust in the leadership, and I have what it takes to earn that trust. I want everyone across East Orange, Montclair, Orange, and Clifton to know I will do my best to put People and Progress over Politics,” said Anderson.
Tafari Anderson’s vision for a better New Jersey is defined in his platform. Anderson will fight vigorously to improve the affordability of healthcare for every family. He will support legislation to put more money back in homeowners’ pockets with lower property taxes. Anderson will work to strengthen the state economy and maximize financial opportunity. He believes it is critical to preserve the rights and freedoms that we hold dear and that so many have fought to protect. Anderson also stands with law enforcement and will help ensure that those who work to keep New Jersey safe have all the tools and backing they need.
Anderson has been a dedicated public servant for years, with a clear commitment toward quality education and preparing public school children for the demands of an ever-changing future. He was previously a member of the Board of Directors of the New Jersey School Boards Association, President of Passaic County School Boards Association, and School Board Commissioner for Clifton Public Schools. This dedication is supplemented by his full-time work as a Director of Technology in the public sector.
Anderson knows firsthand the importance of taking care of family. He is a husband and father with deep roots in Clifton, where he has lived for over 20 years. During that time, he has also been an outspoken community advocate, promoting the virtues of integrity and equity as a champion for his fellow New Jerseyans.
Anderson will meet with the people of Essex and Passaic Counties in the coming weeks and looks forward to their votes to represent them in the New Jersey Legislature on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.
