Wine Picker App Founders Launch the First Systematic e-Waiter to Assist with Food Allergy Awareness

London, UK - Wine Picker App founders' latest release is Restaurant Solution. It’s a digital solution to help restaurants, with menu design, staff training on food allergies and a food allergy/sommelier e-waiter assistant.

Food allergies have become a major concern in the UK and USA.

“The extent of the problem for restaurants is profound sending 4,500 people to hospitals every year in the UK, a number that has increased by 72% in the last 5 years,” says co-founder Julien Sahut, (A Sommelier formerly engaged at distinguished restaurants including Sexy Fish, London’s China Tang at The Dorchester and the Michelin 2* Hibiscus.)

The number of tragic deaths from anaphylactic shock due to food allergies, has significantly raised the public’s awareness on the subject.

Sadly, to date there has not been a simple user friendly solution to help customers through their menus. This brings stress and anxiety both for the guests and the restaurant. With simple filtering and photos of dishes offered, e-waiter “gives customers the control”.

Of course, being true wine lovers, this is not just about solving a problem. We also wanted to improve the customer experience. So our e-waiter is also an e-sommelier able to make excellent wine recommendations.

Last week, Wine Picker App founders launched the first systematic ewaiter to assist you with food allergy awareness, menu discovery and wine pairing. Zela London is the first restaurant using the new technology Restaurant Solution, which will put their customers at ease when ordering, making going out a more pleasurable experience. Zela London which opened last year backed by Cristiano Ronaldo, Rafael Nadal and Enrique Iglesias is located in the ME Hotel on Strand and offers an elegantly modern, Japanese Mediterranean cuisine.

This new tech got nominated for an award on its first week at Zela London Restaurant by Imbibe Magazine for Innovation of the year. Thanks to our collaborator from IBM Watson Assistant.

” We’re very pleased to be able to help both patrons and restaurants with this growing issue and hope that we will be able to aid in tackling the food allergy crisis,” says Julien Sahut.
